Treatment Programs at Colorado Rehab
From medically supervised detox through outpatient care, Colorado Rehab offers a full continuum of addiction treatment — moving you from crisis to calm, every step grounded in the Rockies.
Medical Detox
Medical detox at Colorado Rehab typically lasts 3 to 7 days, with licensed medical staff on site around the clock. Withdrawal from alcohol, opioids, benzodiazepines, and barbiturates can be physically dangerous, so we provide continuous monitoring and medication-assisted treatment to keep you safe and as comfortable as possible.
Detox is the stabilizing first step — the move from crisis to steady ground. The moment you are medically ready, we transition you into residential or outpatient care so the hardest days lead directly into lasting recovery.
Residential Treatment
Our residential program runs 30 to 90 days in a structured, around-the-clock environment at the foot of the Rockies. Days begin early with a nature walk and outdoor fitness, then move into clinical therapy, with family sessions woven throughout.
Patients live on site with access to the gymnasium, greenhouse, equine therapy barn, and mountain hiking trails, while clinicians deliver neuroscience-based, individualized care.
Outpatient Program
Colorado Rehab offers two outpatient levels: a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) of 2 to 4 weeks and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) of 8 to 12 weeks. Both let you keep working, stay near family, and apply what you learn in real time, with the structure of regular clinical sessions.
Outpatient care works as a step down from residential treatment or as a starting point for those across the Colorado Springs area whose lives allow recovery while living at home.
Dual Diagnosis
Dual diagnosis means treating addiction and a co-occurring psychiatric condition — such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD — at the same time, by the same team. For many people in crisis, an undiagnosed condition is the real engine behind the substance use, and treating only the addiction leaves that engine running.
Our psychiatrists and therapists integrate medication management, DBT, and experiential therapy into one coordinated plan, so the whole person is treated rather than a set of disconnected symptoms.
Daily Schedule
Our days start early and outdoors — fresh mountain air and movement are part of the medicine here.
